Dan Harmon Poops: HEY, DID I MISS ANYTHING? →

A few hours ago, I landed in Los Angeles, turned on my phone, and confirmed what you already know. Sony Pictures Television is replacing me as showrunner on Community, with two seasoned fellows that I’m sure are quite nice - actually, I have it on good authority they’re quite nice, because…

Write Monkey →
Write Monkey is just amazing (I’m typing this text into it right now). It’s simple, great to write without distractions, and is a great alternatve to iA Writer, sadly restricted to Mac OS X and iOS devices.
It’s free, and it’s great. I think you should download it.
Linux!
Looking for some different Linux distro to install. Unity on ubuntu is horrible to use, Elementary OS still in 10.04 means that I can’t consider it while they doesn’t update to 11.10 or 12.04, and Linux Mint Interface feels like crap. I need something new and that works quickly on a Virtual Machine with 3GB of RAM and a couple of 1.8GHz processor, plus 128MB of VRAM.

Ignorance is Bless →
It’s bizarre (and sad) to see someone trying to make a negative news turn positive news, disparaging facts or diminishing their importance. I visit this site since a few months ago (after having won my first Blackberry) and I am amazed at the amount of posts blindly defending the brand “Blackberry”, without facing the problems that RIM has right now.
They are losing market...
Still without my computer. HP is making me lose money, because the tool that I...
Design case study: iPad to Windows 8 Metro style... →
Another example of how Google isn’t investing properly, like Apple and Microsoft, when it comes to developing apps for tablets. It’s an awesome work from Microsoft, that showed how to redesign an iPad app for Windows 8, using the dynamic elements introduced with the metro interfave, showing how items used in the iPad app could be adapted. It’s a shame that google doesn’t...

Hey, two of my friends are competing for 2 tablets on Facebook. They need more “likes” in their photo, so, just open this link (no virus! I promiss) and “like” their photo. Oh, does it help if I say that is an Android tablet?

MWC: Sony
Talking about the MWC releases from Sony, finally a company that produces devices with android decided to launch less devices this year (at least so it seems). Only three devices, the smaller, low end. the larger device, high-end, and the medium device, mid-end.
Sony had already less Android devices than other companies (HTC launched about 20 devices last year), and even then, they have 13...

Netflix: We don’t have any current plans to... →
Netflix has a point: they would need to spend time and resources with a team to develop an app for the Playbook, plus an additional cost for support for this app and all this without knowing if there would be a substantial financial return.
If you see the comments of the site, there are many people exclaiming that they will cancel their service, and at the same time complaining about other...
Portfolio / Goodbye y'all. →
Hi! I’ll not post my work here at this tumblog, and will keep it just with text, links, etc. All stuff related to work previously posted here will be transferred to my portfolio. It is a professional decision, I hope you understand. It’s time to grow.
So, take a look at my portfolio! I’ll be updating it with my work and designs that I do to show my talents (such as the design...

Incredible. If there’s one thing iOS has superiority to other systems, is the attention to design things such as the icons.

Sorry, but this text is basically a bunch of crap.

This is a guest post from an anonymous writer, who is a loyal user of Apple products and a veteran iOS developer.
I discovered the ICS Paper Cuts blog today and I was looking through some of the screenshots they had of Android Ice Cream Sandwich. As an iOS user since the first iPhone…

About the Ice Cream Sandwich GUI
Watching the Keynote (these go to eleven) from Google so far. I guess I’ll just delay the launch of Ice Cream Sandwich GUI. I do not want to release something beta, and to launch a full GUI, I’ll have to wait before I can use and test a device with ICS (the Android emulator for Windows or Mac is bad and too slow).
Then, wait until December. It really sucks wait any longer, but I...

LookingForAwesome: iPhone Apps Design Mistakes →

Good stuff. read it at smashingmagazine.com “Many applications share the same design problems that prevent customers from fully enjoying them. Recently, I conducted a review of 100 apps from the App Store and identified the five most frequent iPhone design and usability mistakes.
If your app looks like Michael Bay directed it, you’re doing it wrong.

Moving from Android to iPhone for better apps →
android-gripes:
Marin Perez from Intomobile recently moved from Android to iPhone and he said:
The main reason I switched to the iPhone is the better app ecosystem and I haven’t been disappointed, really. The breadth and selection in the App Store continues to outpace Android Market and I’m not sure if we’ll see that change soon. I have become an Instagram whore and as we saw from CNN this...
